Q. When is a duck shooting season not a duck shooting season?
A. When it continues a week after the official close.
These pictures show the final display of birds by the Coalition Against Duck
Shooting last Tuesday, outside the offices of the Department of Primary
Industries. Posters of Ted Baillieu, Peter Ryan and Peter Walsh were displayed
with these words, 'Wanted - for crimes against native waterbirds' on them.
Ryan is Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional and Rural Development. Walsh
is Minister for Agriculture.
Rescuers at Lake Gil Gil in the state's northwest found seven freshly-killed
Eurasian Coots last Sunday, a week after the duck season ended.
A Pacific Black Duck was also displayed. Gruesome pictures warning.

If you want to help end duck shooting, please write to the MPs above,
preferably by snail mail. For more information, go to www.duck.org.au or visit
