The last few days I've been well offshore from Weipa and have observed 30 to 40 Wilson's Storm Petrels each day, along with a few lesser frigates. They aren't uncommon here, but the numbers are quite high. Yesterday I saw a WSP in Pine river Bay, an estuary system here which is bordered by mangroves with a fairly narrow opening out to sea.
