Morcombe App for Android and validation

Hi, when I first installed the Morcombe bird app for android it did have 
a requirement to go online and validate.  It did this without you 
knowing as long as you used the app when it was connected to the 
internet sometimes.  You could go into a menu and see how many days the 
licence would have to run  before validation was required again.  The 
last major update in about March removed this validation requirement so 
it is no longer necessary to use the program online to validate the 
licence.  I don't know if the iphone version ever had the same 
requirement for validation.
