For those interested I can provide more details on the following.

The committee I work for (under the Victorian Flora and Fauna Guarantee
Act) has just advertised (in Victorian newspapers) its recommendation to
list the impact of Noisy Miners as a Potentially Threatening Process under
the FFG Act.

The specific title of this recommendation is as follows:

'Reduction in biodiversity resulting from Noisy Miner (Manorina
melanocephala) populations in Victoria' (Potentially Threatening process).

A brief report of the SAC's assessment of this item (the Final
Recommendation Report) is available to all interested parties.

Contact me off list if you would like a copy.

cheers
