Birdline Tasmania

Published sightings for the week ending 20 May 2012.

Sun 20 May Welcome Swallow Forth River
Approximately (140) seen over the Forth river close to dusk. I assume that some of them at least are about to head North. Smaller numbers are present all year round at this location.
James Melville

Sat 19 May White-bellied Sea-eagle Leven River, Ulverstone
An individual soars casually over the River, centre of town and beaches almost every day - consistently mobbed by Masked Lapwings and others, as well.
John Tongue (and others on various days)

Mon 30 Apr Sooty Albatross St Helens
10 miles east of St Helens Point, photographed from 4 m dinghy
Ian May

Birdline Tasmania is sponsored by Eremaea Birds and co-ordinated and hosted by Eremaea Birds.
