Hi Peter and birding ausers,

In a way the binocular holder, and more, is already built into the
Forester.

When one lifts the padded rest between the front seats the width is exactly
that of the Lowepro camera bag, and the extended drink holder on the raised
rest cover fits the handle on the top of the open bag, thus holding it
securely in place and ready to quickly extract the camera.

On top of the dash there is a shallow storage compartment that, when
opened, perfectly holds ones binoculars.

The main difference is that I doubt that Subaru realises it has designed
the interior fittings to exactly hold a birdwatchers requirements.

Oh yes, and the ashtray in front of the gear lever is perfect placed for
holding the WTP gate key.

cheers

Jen
