Yesterday I heard and then located a single Mangrove Robin in mangroves near the Awonga Point sewage ponds. It is a species I'm surprised not to have seen before in Weipa as we have quite an extensive mangrove habitat. My copy of the bird Atlas indicates no records for the Weipa area either.
