Seen from the John Muntz Causeway; actively feeding in the water vegetation. Watched for about 15 minutes.

Little Curlew
Rifle Range Ck, Bargara
1x Little Curlew seen feeding for short time. Very flighty and would fly off when within approx 50 mtrs. Good views with scope, but no photos.

One bird seen with twig in mouth, within 100mtrs of new block of units being built.

Albany Creek and Reserve, Bridgeman Downs
Powerful Owl (1) Sadly a road kill Powerful Owl along Albany Creek Rd on northern limit of reserve this morning at 5am. Corpse will be donated to QLD Museum.

Beach Stone-curlew
Buckley's Hole, Bribie Island
Observed two Beach Stone-curlews between Red Beach and Buckley's Hole late in the afternoon. They were close to the southern end of Buckley's. It was surprising that they were there given the amount of dog footprints in the "dog free" area along the beach.

possible Pacific Gull
Banksia Beach, Bribie Island
A large black and white gull with a black tail band was seen flying away from the observer. Birders in this area should keep a look out for this bird as it showed characteristics of Pacific Gull (but the head / bill were not seen). It was clearly not the adult Kelp Gull which has been in the area. (Ed. Rob Morris).
