Gday

At the BOCA bird count last Saturday we counted over 100 Turquoise Parrots
between 6am and 9am at Wattle Dam in Binya State Forest. It is a very
reliable site, we see them there almost every visit. The other most common
bird that morning was the Mulga Parrot.

Wattle Dam is off Barry Scenic Drive and you can find the location of this
and other spots on the Murrumbidgee Field Nats website under "our Projects"

Hi everyone,
Wondering if anyone can help? I'm about to cart the family over to the
in-laws at Wagga for 10 days over christmas and am keen to get out and do a
little birding! One of my aims on the trip is to find and photograph a
Turquoise Parrot as it is the only Neophema I need for a clean sweep of
these cool little parrots! I could drive south to Vic and head for the Warby
Ranges or somewhere like that but if someone has an area a little closer it
would be very much appreciated!
I've read a few old reports off the thread where Turquoise Parrots had been
seen at The Rock Nature Reserve. Can anyone tell me if they are still found
in this location? or any other areas nearby?
Thanks in advance
Chris Steeles
