Dear B-A,
Over the last couple of days, I have been delving in to Google's eBook
site http://books.google.com.au/ebooks It has quite a few books on
birds listed, even some Australian titles, e.g. the current edition of
Thomas & Thomas and Dolby et al's "Where to see bird in Victoria".
There are also a considerable number of current and out of print
titles on ornithology. Quite a few of the OOP titles are free to down
load, though many are from the 19th C and so are possibly more of
interest to those interested in the history of Ornithology.
One thing to remember about eBooks, is that some current titles may be
bought more cheaply as a hard copy from online booksellers such as
Fishpond or Book Depository.
Cheers,
Carl Clifford
