Warren,

Did you make sure that the person really meant "Topknot Pigeon" and not
"Crested Pigeon"?

(Crested Pigeons are frequently erroneously - and confusingly - called "Topknot
Pigeons")

Cheers,

Nikolas

P.S. Sorry, I don't have any knowledge of banding projects of either species.

I have a unconfirmed report of a Topknot Pigeon at Gerringong South Coast
NSW banded on right leg with  blue over white bands. The information is
second hand  and not from a Birder.  Does anyone have any knowledge of
banding projects involving this species.

Warren Thompson.
