Hi Frank I was curious about your Koel sightings in Broome. I would not call them common at all. In fact despite living there for the past 15 years ive never seen 1 Chris Hassell has been living there for a few more years than me and he also has not seen one. I think George Swann has a couple of very old records including 1 at his house about 10 years ago from memory. They are Common in the Kimberly and even breed occasionally in Derby The only records I know about recently in Broome is a bird at the BBO bird baths approx 4 years ago and presumably the same birds seen 3 days later on the crab creek road.
