Hi all,
I am interested in the baffled rosella nest box I found on your website
www.birdsaustralia.com.au/images/stories/resources/info_sheets/9-Nest-box-technical-information.pdf

As the co-ordinator for the Clarence Valley Indian myna project we planned to
make some to sell to help fund our project. However we have been since advised
that although it works to exclude the IMs it is also likely to be a serious
problem to young rosellas making their first flight, as they cant fly directly
out so would fall to ground and be at risk to predators.

I am wondering if the baffle was open both top and bottom so the rosellas could
climb up and fly out would it still cause difficulty for the IMs accessing the
nest. Any comments or ideas would be most appreciated. Ihave an original of the
design which mentions Tim Gunn as the designer as well as Hugo Phillips as
requesting feedback but I cant track down either

Regards
