Scott Baker and I have just returned from a lovely weekend of birding around
Mallacoota. It started off a bit slow on Saturday but picked up with the
weather yesterday. Amongst other things, we managed to get views and photos of
Black Bittern at the Genoa River. There's also a good population of
White-headed Pigeons down there now (apparently according to locals, though we
didn't see any until Sunday morning) and some migrants starting to come
through.

Simon.
