Re Magpie-larks attacking.

1. It seems to be a rare but not unknown phenomenon
2. Vinyl jackets and football scarves seem to be triggers
3. HANZAB mentions it albeit briefly
4. My bird has the decency to scream before it launches its attack
5. Why, after 15 years of riding under the same nest tree, did I
suddenly get attacked yesterday (and today)?  A new male has arrived
perhaps?

I reckon there are some really interesting science, genetics,
inheritance type questions here for some young PhD student to
investigate.
