Hi Tom, My first Koel sighting was on the same day as yours. I'm at Killcare on the Central Coast of NSW not all that far from you as the crow flies -- just a hop and a jump across the Hawkesbury, so to speak. I found it interesting that our first Channel Bill Cuckoos were heard later than reports from central Sydney, but our fist Dollar Bird reports were earlier by several weeks.
