I went for an early morning walk with my wife this morning in Kalinga Park which is just behind where we live about 7km north of the Brisbane GPO. Kedron Brook runs along the edge of the Park (and floods our yard on occasions). We had some really nice birds this morning along with all of the usual suspects. These included Pale-vented Bush-hen, Buff-banded Rail, Azure Kingfisher, Bush Stone-curlew, Olive-backed Oriole, Pale-headed Rosella, White-browed Scrubwren and plenty of Brush-turkeys. Lots of lorikeets around also.
