Seems to be a bit over half the price of the ME66. I never considered that one
when I was choosing mine, because "everyone" seems to go for the ME66. Is the
ME64 directional enough for this kind of thing? I want to be able to record a
high flying parrot and not have the recording dominated by the Willie Wagtail
in the tree next to me that never shuts up.
It's very hard making these choices when you don't have the opportunity to try
anything before you buy.

Subject: Sound recording - a light weight solution
Discussion seems to have centered around a ME66 Sennheiser mic - don't forget
the ME64/K6 module. This is a lovely short relatively inexpensive mic, easy to
carry in bum bag together with an Olympus LS11, home made windshield, wooden
handle covered with a bicycle grip etc. The easier it is to carry the more
likely you are to use it. I use Adobe Audition v3 for editing, expensive but
excellent. No matter PC or Mac, the editing programs are very similar.
