vernans. Range - Southeast Asia to Philippines, also Sulawesi

Hi all
Probably off topic but there is a bird pic going viral on the web (it's on
Yahoo Groups in "Frenchies R Us" and Sinhala - Sri Lankan - Friends) and
I've been asked what species it is.
It's a stunning shot of a pigeon (I reckon a Fruit-dove Ptilinopus spp) with
a squab under each wing.
(BTW do pigeons have two eggs because they have two wings?)
