This evening I had wonderful views of pair of circling Grass Owls in the Maroochy River flatlands on the Sunshine Coast. I have had them at this site previously but last year the grass was cleared by cane farmers. I thought the worst but the grass has regrown, and the owls are back. Several King Quail were also calling.
