Hi this is a longshot but does anyone know of a Mr Earnshaw who used to be a school teacher in country Victoria in the late sixties and early to mid seventies? He was very keen on birds and had us looking out for White-faced Herons (there was some of survey happening in Vic in the early 70's?) and encouraged us to join the Gould League. I'd like to think he can take some of the credit for my interest in birds.
