The most recent Eden Pelagic Birdwatching Trip was held on Sunday 29th May. The conditions were good and there were 9 people on board Connemara departing from Main Wharf at Eden at 8am.

The following bird species were sighted and recorded by Eric Andrew:

1 Little Penguin
4 Northern Giant Petrels
2 Providence Petrels
8 Fairy Prion
3 Short-tailed Shearwater
16 Fluttering Shearwater
1 Wandering Albatross
3 Butlers Albatross
75 Shy Albatross
12 Indian Yellow Nosed Albatross
1 Wilson's Storm Petrel
1 Australasian Gannet
1 Little Pied Cormorant
43 Black-faced Cormorant
1 White Bellied Sea Eagle
2 Great Skua
1 Arctic Jaeger
4 Pacific Gull
25 Silver Gull
17 Crested Tern
6 Masked Lapwing

The next 2 Eden Pelagic Trips will be held on Sunday July 31st 2011 and again on Sunday October 30th 2011. There are only 3 places available for July and 2 places for October.
