Wed 1 Jun Blue-billed Duck Alice Springs "Sewage" Ponds
A bit delayed, but a Blue-billed Duck on the "main lake" (EP10) on Wednesday 1 June at about 1.00pm. Placed in book at entrance. First time I have seen one at this site, though there have been a number of reports in the past, including quite recently. (Moderator's note; I think this is probably the same bird that has been present for the last few weeks. I've only been able to confirm 5 records for the species here in the last decade.)

Flock Bronzewing Stuart Highway 50kms north of Alice Springs
72 birds counted in one flock and an estimated 150 birds in the general vicinity in the late afternoon.
