Richard Baxter is back on Christmas & Cocos Islands. He reports that it
appears that the rarities that were there earlier in the year seem to have
moved on and he had nothing to report from Christmas Island. Cocos is the
wettest he has ever seen it and the continuing rain makes birding difficult.
There he has found and photographed an adult Malayan Night Heron and is now
in pursuit of a medium-sized brown/grey Heron or Bittern with a white rump!
