Gooday BA
Judy and I recently made some inquiries on BA re Kilcowera Station and here
thank all who made suggestions etc. Over the Easter break we went to
Brisbane for a couple of days then set out westward. As it turned out we did
not get to Kilcowera but did camp one night at Lake Bindegolly and then a
few nights at Bowra Station. It was great to see the Lake full of water and
all the birds including Caspian Terns and Gull-billed Terns, some of both
species were observed carrying fish, presumably to nestlings. Bowra had a
great range of the usual species. Judy saw twelve new species including
Bourke Parrot and the only breeding plumaged adult male White-winged Wren on
the place. Unfortunately we also saw heaps of feral pigs and foxes at Bowra.
