Hi Patrick,
I've been through the area in June, and have had luck with Varied Honeyeater
and Mangrove Robin at the mangroves at the north end of the esplanade, plus
Double-eyed Fig Parrots in the trees behind the boardwalk. There was also a
roosting colony of Nankeen Night Herons in one of the bigger trees. It was
definitely much quieter than my visits at other times of year though.
