G'day all

How great it is to have learned of all these records spread all around our
coastline. Thanks to everyone for responding to Jill's call for records. I was
the off-list person who asked Jill about other records of this Asian race -
because they don't seem to get reported all that often, I was curious as to
where & when they've turned-up before...

I think that you could say that we have them here in Cairns as uncommon but
regular visitors in very small numbers - I have only checked the Cairns
Esplanade birds, so I strongly suspect other birds could visit our region as
well. Since we first noticed them here a few years back on The Esplanade, the
records for this site are: 3 in 2007, 4 in 2008, 3 in 2009, & 2 in 2010.

Let's keep a look out next season for more of these lovely birds ... on the
coast & inland !!

Cheers for now
