Hi All
I will be visiting Melbourne next week for a conference and then work, but
will be free on Wednesday afternoon (23 March). I'm keen to see a couple of
the species that have been seen recently at Werribee, so if anybody is
planning on visiting the Western Treatment Plant that afternoon, I would be
keen to see if I can tag along with you, naturally contributing to petrol
and human refueling costs. I am staying at the Southbank Travelodge and
won't have access to a car but I am sure I could get my self to anywhere
that would be convenient for a pick-up if I had enough guidance.
If that doesn't eventuate, I'd be interested in sites that I could easily
reach myself where I'd have a chance of seeing Blue Winged Parrot, White
Fronted Chats, smaller terns and/or Striated Fieldwren. Also, apart from
the nearby Botanic gardens, is there anywhere near the Southbank area worth
exploring in the morning or evening (weather permitting?) that I could reach
on foot?
I am heading for Melbourne on Sunday morning, but can be contacted on this
email address until Saturday evening and then on my gmail account (copied
above) or my mobile (0412 208587) after that.
Cheers
Tom Wilson
