I have been informed that the State Government (DPI) had two Barbary Doves
removed from their main site in Bayside - the Brighton Dunes/Dr Jim Willis
Reserve - on 17 Feb.
That was a day after I saw one on a nest there. So that means no(?) breeding population remains in Victoria. Thank you, DPI (and in the past DSE)! Please report any further sightings to the DPI (or me),I guess that people are releasing surplus cage birds so they could get going again.
