This message is posted with Russell's permission.

Bowra Sanctuary will be opened to birders from early March then closed for
April, so AWC can conduct fauna studies without we heavy footed birders
tramping on their traps.
It will then be open from 28th April till the end of October - unless any
more scientific or feral animal control is required.

After the rain and floods of last year the vegetation is flourishing, as are
the birds but the dense vegetation makes finding some a bit more difficult.

Facilities are slowly being improved. The major change is that the beds in
the quarters no longer closely resemble hammocks. Soon there should be more
points to connect power to camper vans etc.

Charges have not changed from pre AWC times although the numbers visiting at
one time is currently limited to 20 campers and about fifteen in the built
accommodation.

Bookings are essential and can be made at present to 07 3398 5118 or my
email address.

This will change in early March when all bookings should be made to the
property phone 07 4655 1238. There will be an answering machine if the
house is unattended.

Hope this is of use.
