On February 1st (sorry this is late), I saw a Great Knot at Shoalhaven Heads just opposite the caravan park. It was feeding with 60 or more Bar-tailed Godwits. Apparently it has been there a while. I noticed it had a green tag(band) just above the right knee. I checked with a friend at DECC in Nowra, and he said it was tagged in Queensland and that Clive Minton may have more info on this bird. If I get more details I will pass this on if anyone is interested. I am not sure if the bird is still there today.
