I saw a single Blue-faced Honeyeater at Mt Annan Botanic Garden at 1 pm today. It was initially feeding in Banksias and Grevilleas next to the seed bank and then was seen flying across the central depot area. This is the first time the species has been recorded since the bird list was begun at the Botanic Garden, and the first time I have seen it in western Sydney.
