Yes, I heard it 'live' on the Science Show. A fascinating story.
As a friend I recounted it to said, the set of coincidences ALMOST makes you believe in a higher being coordinating things.

Hi all,

Just finished listening to this fascinating podcast on a toxic mining pit
lake in the USA where a mass Snow Goose death led to the discovery of an
organism that removes metals from water!  The format of the podcast is
probably over-dramatised, but it's still very worth a listen.
