I use Outlook Express - and it is set to receive HTML files. I have also
checked with my server who advises that the problem is not my email program or
them - they consider it is something to do the with Birding-Aus server. So,
stuck between a rock and a hard place!!! Seems I am destined to miss out on
the lists until I can get broadband!

That sounds like your mail server or mail program has removed it. They're
working ok for me, even on my Blackberry, which is usually the first thing to
complain about mail formats. What software/device are you trying to read the
mails with? I would have thought most systems could deal with HTML in emails
these days, but maybe not.
