Hi all.

Rob Benson, Margaret Reidy and I flew down from Sydney to Werribee on Wednesday and spent the day from about 9:00 am to 6:30 pm checking out the T section ponds 5, 6 and 7 as well As the Austin Rd pond 2 for the Stilt Sandpiper. While we had great views of the Ruff, the Stilt Sandpiper didn't show. There were a couple of 2 to 3 Red Knots, 2 to 3 Sharp-tailed Sandpipers, 100 plus Curlew Sandpipers as well as Greenshanks, Marsh Sandpipers and Red-necked Stints.

We met a few other birders there, in particular Rob Quinan from Dubbo who had been there since Monday without sighting the Stilt Sandpiper.

I note that the Stilt Sandpiper was seen yesterday on pond 6. The Ruff was good though.

Happy(ier) birding.
