During the Queensland Christmas deluge, I had plenty of PC time and created
an experimental 'Showcase' website featuring wildlife images taken globally.
Recently I've noticed a proliferation of great photo-albums on Facebook and
other social-networking sites that some might not have access to and thought
that it might be nice to share them through a non-commercial site. All
'featured' albums have the permission of the taking photographer and the
entire 'collection' may be reached through given-links.
I've used Wordpress blogging software and though there are some great
'image' plug-ins, there are also plenty of limitations.....the most obvious
being the ability (....or lack of it!) to re-size thumbnails from their
originals.
Have a look at http://www.aviceda.org/show/ and let me know what you
think.....
