Sorry, I use the Handbook of the Birds of the World for English names and taxonomic sequence to keep my lists in order. Christidis & Boles uses Striated Heron, Butorides striata. This is also known as Mangrove Heron, Little Green Heron etc. Regards Mark Stanley Message: 3 Date: Tue, 1 Jan 2002 00:21:58 +1100 From: "Paul & Irene Osborn" <> Subject: Darwin Area Trip Report 26-30th Dec 2010 To: <> Message-ID: <> Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed; charset="iso-8859-1"; reply-type=original Pardon my ignorance, but what is a Green-backed Heron?
