Well done Paul and Ruth, I really thought you'd end up dipping on the Baillon's, a species you'd have got easily several months ago in drier years. It shows what persistence can do. I'd suggest though, that the bird you heard probably wasn't the one you later saw. I've been told that Australian Baillon's aren't known to call - the one on the BOCA CDs was recorded in NZ.
