A day's birding on the Sunshine Coast began this morning with a Ground Parrot and a covey of five King Quail showing well in wallum heath near Noosa. A Lewin's Rail offered a rare good view at Peregian Beach, while at Noosa Junction, four Glossy Black Cockatoos were seen. A Grass Owl just after dusk at Maroochy River was an apt finale for the day.
