Hi Nikolas, I've been looking about, but can't find an online version of the new checklist (although I did find one shop offering the printed version for a whole $10 less at $89.99...). However, the wikipedia list of NZ birds makes reference to it, but at the same time seems to be taxonomically out-of-date in a few places (Little Pied Cormorant still being in Phalacrocorax, etc, depending on who you go with). I did see a copy in the shop at Miranda, but baulked at spending the remainder of my holiday money on it... However, this page: http://printablebirdchecklists.homestead.com/PDFlists/New_ZealandSP.pdf was last updated just after the 4th edition of the NZ checklist came out and seems right up to date, although it doesn't state where they got the list from. Don't know if that's any help to you at all. Cheers, Tony |
