Evening all,
Just wondering if anyone would be able to share any information on the Beach
Stone-curlew at Old Bar, the Radjah Shelduck at Myall Lakes and if there are
any sites south of Coff's Harbour that are any good for Brolga and Jacanas?
I've got a weekend's birding pass from the very kind Mrs and I'd heard that
these species were around in those areas. All apart from the Radjah Shelduck
would be lifers (even then, we only got a fleeting view from a coach window
near Port Douglas...) and I'm rather keen to see them all as there's a chance
we might be moving abroad in the near future.
Also (and on a somewhat unconnected subject), is it common to see nearly
full-grown Koel chicks at this time of year? We saw a pair of Red Wattlebirds
feeding one that appeared to have fledged at the top of our road yesterday.
Thanks in advance for any information!
Tony
