Hi all,

Great news, following the temporary closure of Leanyer to birders, local
birder Biggles has talked with PowerWater and birders are now allowed back
in! I'd like to reiterate that part of the reason this happened was
PowerWater's increasing unhappiness with a small number of misbehaving
birders, so please follow the rules of your permits and ask your guests to
do the same if you visit the site.

Regards,
Chris Sanderson

Hi all, I've had discussion in regards to the Sewer ponds on behave of our
group to Norm.
 Here's the response.
We are allowed back into ponds from now on, that all the heavy Maintenance
is completed but please inform as always intentions to Norm on 89955812 if
planning over weekend in advance as this only week day number, or before
during the week as well.
Reason for this is, we should not try and annoy Martin Hartree as he is
still quite ill as Norm pointed out to me and may be away for a rest period
from the ponds and also may not later actually reside there on his return to
work next year.
He informed me the *Locks* will be changed in Feb next year, but we are able
to go and change it over at no extra costs. A notice of this will be put on
the gate before it happens to warn us of this change.
His other concerns are people lending keys, and concerns me as well.
If you take in a guest, they must adhere to the same rules as us, like stay
in vehicle and not roam all around area.
He's still concerned about the 2.5 m croc in there. I pointed out, most of
us regulars are aware of that.
*So please do the right thing when returning to this Icon birding spot for
the few of us that have been granted the privilege to access this area and
lets enjoy it and do the right thing.*
* Biggles*
