L.L. Bean have a good selection, and they use ordinary parcel post,
not overpriced couriers. I bought an excellent waist pack from them
earlier in the year and was very happy with their service.

Hi Patrick,
Thy're not cheap (especially the postage) but I invested in some Muck
Boots from
the US. They are real rubber so they dont slip on boat decks like the
cheap PVC
boots you typically buy in Australia. They are very comfortable and
made for
cold and wet conditions and to be honest I was glad I had them (after
I had
forgotten the purchase price) as I pretty much lived and died in them
on my trip
to Antarctica.

Hi All, I'm just wondering if anyone could suggest where to buy good
gumboots
that are siutable for pelagic trips in Melbourne? On my last trip
the sea was
flat as a pond, but the next could be windy, and some decent gumboots
could be a
blessing. Also any ideas about good brands of waterproof overtrousers
would be
much appreciated too. Happy birding, Patrick Scully
