Hi everyone,
Thanks to all those who responded to my RFI on Norfolk Island. I was able to
make contact with Peter Davidson on the island, who couldn't have been more
helpful or hospitable. Had a great morning's birding with him the day after
I arrived, saw most of the species I was hoping for within a few hours, and
then was even invited to his home for great scones baked by his lovely wife
Judith. I saw 30 species in the short time I was there, including the
Norfolk Island Silvereye, the NI gerygone, and the green parrot.
Unfortunately I missed the Morepork owl but this gives me a good reason to
go back one day. For those who haven't been, Norfolk Island is a beautiful
place with great people, great food and great birding.
Thanks again, especially to Peter and Judith.
Cheers, Tracey
