Hi again,

Following my trip to Cairns I spent about 2 days birding around Brisbane from
20-22 Oct. Highlights were as follows:

Boondall Wetlands - Mangrove Honeyeater, Collared Kingfisher and Mangrove
Gerygone.
Daisy Hill Koala Centre - Square-tailed Kite
Mt Tamborine - NO Albert's Lyrebirds, despite about 3 hours of searching
Lamington NP (O'Reilly's) - Paradise Riflebird, Regent Bowerbird, Green
Catbird, Rose Robin, fleeting glimpses of Albert's Lyrebird, Marbled Frogmouth,
Australian Owlet-Nightjar
Duck Creek Rd - Red-browed Treecreeper, Bell Miner, Spotted Quail-Thrush,
Buff-rumped Thornbill

Most frustrating was not getting good looks at the lyrebirds, after having seen
four birds at Mt Tamborine only a few weeks ago. Does anyone know if there is
some sort of seasonal movement there? Otherwise I got most of the target birds.
If anyone wants any info on sites or specific birds, please let me know.

Cheers and good birding!

Nick Leseberg
