Xenia Dennett, John Graff, Martin Cake, Greg Howell and myself were at Neale
Junction looking for Princess and Red-chested Parrots, 26-28 Sept without
success. In general it was very quiet and although it had rained about 3
weeks before and there were some plants flowering, the birds were clearly
finding it better fare elsewhere. 

The highlight of the trip was excellent views of Rufous Crowned Emu-wren, 1
male and 3 females, 5.2 km south of Neale Junction on the Connie Sue
Highway. They were feeding 10-20 metres from the road and parallel to it so
we were able to follow them along for about 200 yards over half an hour.
