Good evening everyone

Most of you would know that back
in June-July I was in South America and I spent the first few weeks in
Ecuador, whilst I was there I did a flash photography course with Nate
Chappel from www.trogontours.net <http://www.trogontours.net/> What this
course does is mainly photograph Hummingbirds by using a setup, which is
done by pinning a painting on a clipboard behind the feeder and then
arranging up to 7 flashes around the feeder with one of them focused on the
background. As the bird gets used to coming into the feeder it is then
replaced by a flower hanging down from a clip and drenched with sugar water,
then as the bird comes into focus your own flash sets off the others to give
you a no shadow photograph and also because of the flash setup your aperture
can be set at f22 and your speed at around 350th of a second as the flash
freezes the subject including the wings. Some people like it and some people
do not and I am one of the latter, as I like most of my shots natural and as
you can see there is a mixture of both in my recent photo's. I have also
posted the last lot of photos from my trip up North and as usual here is the

Kindest Regards to you all
