Hi All, White-throated Nightjars were heard calling for the first time this season, last night, 29-30 August, at home near Gibraltar Range, NSW. They don't seem to winter here, but are late to leave in april/may. Varied Triller, King Quail, good numbers (5-10) of Glossy Black Cockatoos, and Lewin's Rail (pair heard) also recently recorded. Noisy Friarbirds & Red Wattlebirds moving through, with multiple small flocks of Musk & Little Lorikeets over the canopy, in the past couple of weeks. Regards, Simon Clayton Gibraltar Reserve Cangai 2460, NSW Australia www.birdrangers.com ============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org ============================= |
