Geoff,
Thanks for sharing your pics with birding-aus, they're outstanding and
by far the best I've ever seen. Well done. One day I'll get out there and see
them.
Cheers
Richard

Hi Everyone
As most of you know by now I was invited to
participate in a trip to search and photograph Princess Parrots by Ian and
Pat May and also with Don Haddon in an irruption that has never been
documented, or as far as I know, been seen in our lifetime
It was truly amazing to see such large flocks of these wonderful birds
swirling up from the ground and weaving along in their erratic, tumbling
flight and to see their footprints in amongst the Upside-down Plant
(Leptosema chambersii ) as at one stage I came upon them eyeball to eyeball
( about 1metre away ) and you could see the flowers at the base had been
dislodged and lay on the ground. I was also very fortunate to be able to
photograph them copulating as well. I have attached a link to my website for
4 of the many photos that I took on this trip.
