With all the angst surrounding the permit problems for the Central Australian princess parrots, it may be worth remembering that last Spring, Alexander Watson, Bill Watson and I had multiple sightings of Princess Parrot at Neale Junction in WA's Great Victoria Desert, along with Scarlet-chested Parrot. It's an easy drive from Kalgoorlie, no permits are required, and historically this has been a regular site for the species over many decades. I wonder if anyone has been there to search for them since our visit last October?
